About Us
Founded in 2018 and officially established as a a Nonprofit 501(c)(3) in 2025, Recovering Moms Helping Moms was created with the mission of walking alongside mothers in recovery by providing safe spaces, compassionate support, and practical resources to help them heal, grow, and thrive. Rooted in empathy, dignity, and community, we remain committed to reminding every mom that she is not alone and that her future holds hope.

Through our core programs — Recovery & Healing Support, Family Empowerment, Essential Needs Assistance, and Housing & Future Opportunities, we equip mothers with the tools they need to rebuild their lives. From peer-to-peer support groups and recovery coaching, to parenting classes, food and clothing distribution, and long-term housing initiatives, our services are designed to meet moms where they are with grace, strength, and understanding.

At Recovering Moms Helping Moms, we believe every mother deserves a safe place to heal, the resources to thrive, and the confidence to raise strong, healthy families. By building a community of support and compassion, we empower moms to break cycles, embrace new beginnings, and step boldly into brighter futures—together.

Meet the Founder
Angelica Bryant - Founder/Executive Director
Recovering Moms Helping Moms was founded by Angelica Bryant, a mother in long-term recovery who knows firsthand the challenges women face when trying to heal while raising children. Seven years ago, Angelica saw the need for a safe space where mothers could
receive support in recovery while also having childcare available—a need born from her own journey of navigating substance use disorder, mental health struggles, and trauma while being a mom.
Angelica’s heart for this nonprofit is deeply personal. In her past, she faced the painful experience of placing one of her children for adoption because she was unable to provide the stability and care they deserved at the time. That loss became the seed of her mission: to
ensure no other mother has to walk through the pain of losing a child due to a lack of support or resources.

Grounded in her faith, Angelica believes in the promise of Romans 8:28 “All things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose.” She sees her story not as one of defeat, but of redemption—a testimony that her pain has a purpose.
Through Recovering Moms Helping Moms, Angelica has created the kind of support she once longed for: a community that offers encouragement, resources, and practical help so that mothers can heal, grow, and thrive in recovery—without having to choose between being a mom and taking care of themselves.
